蘭嶼的雅美族是我最先拍，也是最完整的一組系列報導作品。我所以稱它們為「作品」，是因為這些照片是被創造出來的，而不只是被拍攝出來的。
其實客觀無主見地拍攝你所看到的東西，是一種攝影行為；但主觀有見解地拍攝你所看到而感受到的東西，則是一種創作行為。
相機對我而言，不只是「紀錄」的工具，也是「表現」的工具。
攝影者要有主觀的立場，但不能自以為量，絕對要尊重客觀的事實來誠實報導。
對報導攝影者而言，人文科學的素養比攝影技術重要。

【手抄43】女人......
前一段話，說的是不變的真理。不需要努力，只要時間流逝，女人的美貌留也留不住......
只是現在有些技術或保養品可以延緩老化而已。
但是智慧及魅力，我覺得會不會隨著時間而增值，就得要看個人修行了。
當然是期許自己不要老的那麼快，然後真的能夠做到讓自己隨著時間而增值！
